Chaplain (Maj) Randy Potter joined CAP in 2003. As an instrument rated private pilot his initial goal was to work in SAR. He has served as Deputy Commander for Seniors, and the Aerospace Officer for the High Desert Composite Squadron in Central Oregon.

Chaplain Potter has a Master's rating in the Chaplain Corps Specialty Track and has received the Grover Loening Award (Level 3) in the Senior Member Professional Development Program.

Randy's Emergency Services ratings include UDF, Misison Radio Operator, Mission Scanner, Transport Pilot, Mission Observer and Mission Chaplain. He received his Chaplain appointment in 2005 and became wing chaplain in October 2008.
