Elizabeth was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church on March 15,
1997. She serves part time at the parish of St John's in the
Wilderness, on the East shore of Lake Tahoe. She joined CAP in August
2001, after being invited to do so by a parishioner who was at that time
the local squadron commander.
In addition to being qualified as a
Mission Chaplain, Elizabeth is also a Mission Observer and Radio
Operator. She has attained the Master Chaplain rating. She was
appointed Nevada Wing Chaplain in November of 2004. In addition
to conducting Moral Leadership lessons with the cadets of Blackhawk (South
Lake Tahoe) squadron, she also assits her husband, Capt. Stewart
Tattersall, in working with the cadets on aerospace education.
She has been involved in two actual SARs since she joined CAP.
She has
attended PACR Chaplain Colleges, Nevada Wing conferences, and one
Region conference.
In her life outside the ministry, she has been pursuing a Doctorate
in plant biology, studying winegrape genetics. She hopes to find
a teaching postion in Northern Nevada when she finishes her degree.
She and Stewart both earned their private pilot's licenses in 2002. |
