Ch. Maj. Franklin N. Blodgett joined Civil Air Patrol in 1987 and has served as squadron chaplain, deputy wing chaplain, and wing chaplain.

Chaplain Blodgett served as a pilot in the USMCR during Vietnam and flew 520 combat missions. He was also a pilot/officer with Alaska Dept. of Public Safety in the 70s.

In 1980 he entered the ministry and served as a associate pastor and senior pastor with the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Currently he is working with the Alaska Correctional Ministries as a correctional chaplain.
